$1250 Gaming Setup

Sorry for the bad quality, all I have is my phone to take pictures. I play games and do schoolwork on my $900 computer . This is displayed on my 165 hertz Sceptre E255B-1658A monitor. For peripherals I have a hand-me-down Sades headset from my friend, a Redragon K552 Kumura RGB keyboard with white Hyper-x pudding key caps , a Mamba Snake M5 mouse, and a Hyper-x Fury S mousepad. The chair is an AuAg gaming chair. My dad and I built a picture frame like cover for our Govee RGB light strips. We also routed the lights through the wall for the inside loop. The computer has a ryzen 5 2600, xlr8 geforce gtx 1660, 16gb of team group t-force ram, a gigabyte b450 ds3h motherboard, a 2 terabyte hard drive from wd, and a silicon power 256g ssd. This is all inside of the fsp cmt510 case. In the future I would like to paint the desk white. When we paint the desk we'll cut the front down a little so that our chair can slide under it a little better and so that if we wanted to mount a mic in the future, we could. For now, I'm very content, but for my next project, I'll get a budget mic, maybe some higher quality or lighter headphones, get a second monitor, and probably I was also going to do a jailhouse mod to the switches but we might just get Outemu Blacks. I'll lube these and do stab mods too.

As you can see I also added the rest of the room to the setup. This doesn't include the price, but the whole room is really fun to hang out in. With an Xbox 1 and 360 along with a foosball table it's just a really nice room that I wanted to share.

put your setup into pcpp and i criticized it just a bit. Here's how you could've saved money: Saved $11 going for the non RGB ram and sticking to a just plain black ram with the same 16gb. Grab a different case like the NZXT H510. It's $70 USD, and it's much better quality with tempered glass. I don't know what your budget was but, In my opinion a new PSU would be nice for your pc. It's only 500W and you gotta think about how many watts each pc part uses. I advise you to try and save for a PSU by corsair... most likely one of their 700-750W PSU wth 80+ Bronze.

Yeah I agree we probably should have put money into a better power supply, but I didn't even know the H510 existed until I watched Bitwit a little bit more after we built it.  Plus our original case went out of stock just as we bought it, so the case we got had to be a little improvised. It's still all tempered glass and 4 rgb fans. Everything fits and it looks good but you're right the Nzxt case is a really good deal. If I build anything else in the future, I'll put this into consideration.

This is a sick budget setup dude I recommend upgrading ur graphics card to a rtx 3070 for 500$ and push ur boxes 📦 an inch and maybe try a second monitor it would look sick maybe a small 11 inch monitor for chat

Yeah I was looking at vertically mounting a 20 or 22 inch monitor and my friend is getting a 3070 so I might buy his 2070 super off of him. I would get a 3070 but I don't have $500. Chances are though, he will sell his 2070 super for 250 to 300 or maybe less since 2080ti's will be so cheap now. I also set my old tablet up as a monitor so I could use discord on that but it's like 5 inches by 10 inches. Later tonight I'm gonna try to find my old Kindle and try to link the two tablets and make a single bigger display. I even got an app that lets me use my phone's camera so I could set up a hand cam if I wanted to. I'm still not sure I would stream anyway because my mic is pretty bad.

Dude dont go for a 20 nvidia series anything the 3070 triples the 2080ti and 2080 tis will only come down around 450 $ and just save on the new graphics card meanwhile if u want a new microphone 🎙 i recommend alienwares aw310h with amazing sound quality on the headphones and the mic is amazing if u want a link to it i have one on my setup i highly recommend it and for the monitor if u want a small one under ur main u can easily get one on amazon for like 50$

I probably won't upgrade my gpu at all and if I did I wouldn't spend more than 250 anyway. Plus we have a b450 so we don't have any Pcie 4.0 slots. I would also need a new power supply and that would make the upgrade $620 when I already hit 165hz anyway. It would be nice to play at a higher texture level but I think I'll just get a 24 inch second monitor and vertically mount that (I found a $13 arm that is vesa compatible) get a $75 Fifine T669 mic, and jailhouse mod/lube our keyboard (putting an o-ring between our click jacket and stem to get rid of the pinging of the blue switch) to make it quieter so if I wanted to stream, it wouldn't be so loud. If I got a new headset I would probably get a studio headset instead of a gaming headset. And it would work because I would already have an external mic.
