Not so great for bigger laptops but perfect for Apple Magic keyboard

I brought this initially for my 15-inch Macbook Pro 2019 as a way to prop it up for a more comfortable viewing and typing experience. It worked well until the original tape separated from Kickflip probably due to its smooth plastic material and the weight of my laptop. MacBook Pro butterfly keyboard requires only light actuation so heavy typing isn't even taken into account in my case. I replaced the original tape with a heavy-duty 3M double-sided tape and ended with the same result after a while which makes me feel that the design is inherently flawed due to the tilted when extended angle of the Kickflip that will not hold up after normal extended usage.

After giving up on its original intended usage, it occurred to me that maybe I can try it on my magic keyboard. I loved the Apple magic keyboard but there's one thing that bugged me is that it's ergonomically too flat with no means of adjusting its angle. This tradeoff in form over function is a drawback for me but not to the same extent as the magic mouse which I ended up returning (that's another story). After attaching the Kickflip, bingo! I have two very usable and comfortable angles for typing. The first retracted position is perfect for work use and the extended position is great for a laid-back sitting position. It now ended up permanently attached to my magic keyboard and have so far held up over many months even with heavy typing. It felt like it's a part of the keyboard design without detracting from its elegant look and I absolutely loved it now. Highly recommend the Kickflip if used only for Apple magic keyboard but otherwise not worth buying for laptops unless they're really light.
