I see printer makers are up to their old tricks for making more money. The cartridges are forced to stop working within a certain period of time - even if there's still enough ink to continue printing.

I've never bought unofficial ink cartridges for my printers. I'm worried that they will break unless I use the products from the same company. What I don't know is whether the updates make it seem like the cartridges are empty when they are not.... See more

An upcoming printer company could actually take advantage of such a situation because it is illogical to try and dictate consumer choice. Nonetheless (and just like Outflow opines) there are quite a number of people who would never buy... See more
