I use an older model that still has the jack, so I may not understand the experience of a person owning a phone without a wireless jack. Either way, I think we will all (somehow) get used to the changes.

It really isn't that different of an experience.  Wireless earbuds have come a long way and the AirPods and Powerbeats Pro sound fantastic.  I just like having the option of using a headphone jack too.

Oh yes, I would like to have the option of choosing between the two. I would presume that wireless earbuds sound better and are of higher quality?

I miss having a phone jack, but that's probably only because they took it away.  I don't recall using it very often when my iPhone did have a jack and I prefer wireless earbuds.

The Fixable Fairphone 3

This is a new brand to me and it's nice to see a company moving towards fixable gadgets rather than an pushing out an array of disposables. Plus, it's at least partially made with ethical sources. The meaning of that is a little hazy I guess, but at this point, I'll take what I can get.

Are Ready For Another Update?

I have heard some people complain about the updates on their phones. Some of the updates actually messed up the system instead of helping the owner to have better function of the phone. I hope this update will truly make the phone easier to use.

I think that's to be expected with Beta jobs.  You are the experimental guinea pig trying out the latest and greatest software that might be fantastic or might break your phone.  I'd never do it, but I'm interested to see where this leads.

I frequently use the Maps app but had no idea that the 'Share ETA' feature had been missing. Yes, there are instances when updates ruin the user experience, though Apple always rectifies such hitches.

The improvements are not that a big leap, but I can say that the Google Home is being refined. I agree with you with our technology being so rapidly advancing. We may wake up one day having to talk with all our appliances.

My parents have the Google Home smart speaker and I'm not a fan.  In order to get it to work, you must say the proper phrase and it's very precise.  The AI technology is worlds apart. Google Assistant isn't as intuitive as Amazon Alexa.
