ASUS has unveiled the ROG Crosshair VIII IMPACT motherboard as part of the ROG Crosshair VIII series. It features an AMD AM4 socket that supports 2nd and 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ processors and up to two M.2 drives, USB 3.1 Gen2, and AMD StoreMI to maximize connectivity and speed.

It also includes SO-DIMM.2, a bundled expansion card with a heatsink that allows two M.2 drives to be connected through a SO-DIMM interface and helps to optimise SSD thermals for maximum performance. This comes along with an active VRM and chipset combo heatsink and full-sized aluminum backplate with heat pipe add mass to help absorb more heat and improve the overall thermal solution. Furthermore, it has added water-cooling features such as the ROG water-cooling zone, water pump + header, and radiator headers that can be easily integrated with a custom water-cooling loop.
   
Networking wise, the ROG Crosshair VIII IMPACT has an On-board Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with MU-MIMO support and Intel Gigabit Ethernet with ASUS LANGuard that supports GameFirst V technologies.
   
For gamers, it has an automated system-wide tuning that creates overclocking and cooling profiles custom made for your rig. It comes with a Pre-mounted I/O shield, ASUS SafeSlot and IMPACT Control Card VI, which adds BIOS Flashback, Clr CMOS, Q-Code and FlexKey functionality. Users can personalise With ASUS-exclusive Aura Sync RGB lighting, including RGB headers and Gen 2 addressable headers.

To further enhance the gaming experience, it comes equipped with SupremeFX S1220 and ESS® SABRE9023P for enthusiast-grade audio performance, Sonic Studio III and DTS Sound Unbound.
