Asus ROG Zephyrus M
The new Asus ROG Zephyrus M has been revamped with a face lift in the overall build and can easily adapt to both work and play. It is more powerful yet slimmer and has been upgraded with the Core i7-9750H and RTX 2060/1660 Ti GPU options.
The new design is slimmer with slimmer display bezels and an overall lighter yet sturdy chassis. The Asus ROG Zephyrus M weighs just 1.9 kg and is only 18.9 mm thick. The display bezels have been trimmed to a great extent and the chassis incorporates a magnesium alloy construction with reinforced palm rests.
Asus offers the latest Core i7-9750H 6C/12T CPU, coupled with NVIDIA RTX 2060 and GTX 1660 Ti GPU options. The latest GPU choices help drive the 15.6-inch PANTONE-verified 240 Hz 3 ms IPS-type display panel. There is an option for the 120 Hz panel too. The Asus ROG Zephyrus M can be configured with 32 GB RAM and SSD up to 1 TB. It does not have a webcam in order to keep the display bezels slimmer, but an external webcam will be offered as an option.
The new improved cooling system is found in the Asus ROG Zephyrus M and includes the use of dedicated heatsinks with 0.1 mm fins, multiple heat pipes and thinner, denser fans with a self-cleaning design. It is equipped with the standard ROG performance modes such as Silent, Balanced, and Turbo.
The Asus ROG Zephyrus M comes with NVIDIA Optimus support for conserving power and maximizing the 76 Wh battery run time. While a 230 W power adapter may be included, it is needed only when running intensive apps or gaming. Otherwise, the laptop can be charged via any USB Type-C charger. Connectivity options include Gigabit Ethernet and 2x2 wireless AC along with USB 3.1 Gen1 and Gen2 Type-A ports in addition to USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C. There are, however, no Thunderbolt 3 ports.
