Chord Huei phono pre
UK audio company, Chord Electronics, has announced the Huei, an advanced microprocessor-controlled phono preamp.
The Huei is compatible with a wide range of cartridges thanks to the Moving Magnet and Moving Coil functionality, coupled with high- and low-gain switching settings for easy access to front-panel controls, providing another layer of flexibility to use.
The microprocessor uses an ultra-low-noise control of its main features, including a convenient memory function. Huei also enjoys multiple options for impedance-matching by offering a seven-stage switchable gain and a switchable rumble filter.
Huei also incorporates a precision-machined solid aircraft-grade aluminium billet. From the top, one can view into the illuminated electronics inside. Plus, lighted front-panel provides direct entry to Huei’s gain and impedance settings, selection for MM/MC cartridges and access to the on-board rumble filter.
