Critter & Guitari Organelle M synthesiser (2019)
Critter & Guitari's Organelle M synthesizer (2019) is a refinement to its other flagship instrument released in 2016 - the Organelle, with multiple added features for us to explore.
The Organelle M now has a faster processor, twice as much RAM, new media jacks, greater portability thanks to a battery, a built-in microphone, a built-in speaker and an improved web interface for patch management and Link sessions. What's more, the new features of the Organelle M are powered by the awesome Raspberry Pi mini PC, instead of the original solid run i.MX6, transforming it into a digital synth with a pretty active community of musicians building custom patches for it.
At the heart of the Organelle's sound engine is a robust computer that runs patches. A patch allows the instrument to take on different forms. Onboard hardware for sound input and output and mappable knobs, keys and buttons enable patches to synthesize, sample, effect, and anything in between!
Growing from a ‘device’ to a full-fledged instrument, it is capable to follow your new musical ideas wherever you go and whenever you have your inspirations coming up. You’re now free to make music in an easier way.
