Lenovo Thinkpad T495s
Lenovo has launched a revised family of ThinkPad business laptops which are powered by AMD processors. The new Lenovo Thinkpad T495s makes it easy to take your work with you as it features lightweight portability and heavyweight performance. The 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen Pro mobile CPUs (up to the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro) and AMD Radeon Vega integrated graphics will mean you can work longer, faster and more efficiently.
On the new 14-inch Lenovo Thinkpad T495s, Lenovo uses a 1,920-by-1,080-pixel Full HD display rated at 400 nits of brightness. In addition, there is the white backlit keyboard which allows you to work unhindered regardless of the lighting conditions. If you work with 3D content or play games, Lenovo takes advantage of AMD's Radeon FreeSync which supports a dynamic refresh rate to reduce screen tearing and stuttering.
The Lenovo Thinkpad T495s is MIL-SPEC rated for a variety of durability tests, including Crash Hazard Shock which ensures the laptop can withstand drops at high Gs. In other words, the laptop can easily stand up against random wear-and-tear and withstand the rigors of operating out in the field.
Security features include the ThinkShutter integrated security cover for the webcam, with a sliding switch that covers the webcam to prevent any clandestine prying. With its customizable ThinkShield security platform, you have a choice of which software to pick from to keep your system safe. There is an optional ePrivacy filter called ThinkPad PrivacyGuard on the Lenovo Thinkpad T495s to prevent "shoulder surfing" while you're working on sensitive documents.
In addition, the Lenovo Thinkpad T495s has a new side-mounted mechanical docking system. This allows for flexible support mechanics to enable self-leveling at any angle for increased connectivity, stability and longer platform durability. Hence, it should be easier to use and less likely that the dock or laptop becomes damaged in the process.
For better conference calls and with VoIP calls in mind, the audio in the Lenovo Thinkpad T495s has been enhanced with a pair of dual far-field microphones. This allows for clear voice chat even in noisy environments so that you can have better call quality. Where ports are concerned, you get several USB Type-A 3.1 ports, a USB Type-C port, HDMI and a microSD card reader. The Lenovo Thinkpad T495s rocks the familiar ThinkPad look with its ink-black, soft-touch chassis.
