Marantz NR1200 stereo receiver
designed for those who want to upgrade their TV sound from a traditional soundbar, without making the leap to a multichannel AV receiver.
Built as a high-performance two-channel receiver, the Marantz NR1200 delivers its signature sound alongside an impressive power output of 75 watts per channel. That’s despite the receiver’s slim chassis standing smaller than the height of a CD case.
Inside, it features a unique amplification section, with separate, symmetrical left and right power amplifiers. These share a centralised power supply with independent windings for each critical function.
This means that the power transformer is wired independently from the circuits of the amplifier, preamplifier, wireless module and front display, which should improve channel separation, reduce crosstalk, and help preserve clarity.
In addition, its two separate DACs per channel increases the dynamic range and improves the signal to noise ratio, which according to Marantz, will deliver clearer sound from lower quality sources.
Stream music from your favourite services via Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2 or the HEOS Built-in app. Listen to FM/DAB+ Radio, Internet Radio, a wide array of music services, or connect a turntable to the high-quality Phono input. The NR1200 also supports HDMI connectivity with 5 inputs and 1 output, plenty enough to connect your TV by HDMI ARC and your source players including a set-top box, Blu-ray Player or game console. All of this in a sleek design lower than a CD jewel case.
