Sony WH-XB900N EXTRA BASS™ Wireless Noise Canceling Headphone

Overall Ratings:
Description:

Sony's WH-XB900N EXTRA BASS™ Wireless Noise Canceling Headphone is an alternative choice for its other flagship noise-cancelling headphones such as the 1000XM2 and 1000XM3 but at a more affordable price with slightly lesser noise-cancelling quality than those more expensive ones.

One of its unique feature that distinguishes it from other more expensive 1000 series is hinted at in the name: XB stands for “extra bass,” so you can probably expect a huge jump in bass quality as presented with the audio. If you prefer the emphasis on low-end tone, the WH-XB900N is a right fit for you. However, the bass-heavy tuning doesn't handle all genres well so it might not be favoured as much by those who prefer a more balanced sound.

The XB900N features a number of designs that are very similar to the 1000 series such as the touch-enabled pads. The headband also has a shiny Sony logo embedded that might look out of the place. The controls will allow you to adjust volume (swipe up or down vertically), skip tracks (swipe front to back horizontally) and pause music (tap in the center). Tapping the center of the touchpad will also answer or end a phone call.

It also has 30 hours of battery life with noise cancellation on proclaimed by Sony, along with an option to have a dedicated Google Assistant or Alexa button for more convenient assistance.
