The one reason I keep coming back to Apple for laptops is because I have yet to ever really have to worry about malware on my computer. iOS seems to be the best protection out there.

I haven't come across this before but I think that it is worth a try (considering the 10 hours of typing time). How much does it cost?

They're roughly $110 on Amazon right now. I think that's a reasonable price, even if it's a little high. I'd consider it worth a try so long as they have a good return policy.

Me thinks that it could be a ploy (by Apple) to have people fork out more, to purchase the faster chargers. I don't think that this is an issue that was overlooked during the production phase; if you are promoting your fast chargers, why not... See more

That's the only explanation. It's just ridiculous since other smartphones go ahead and include the fast chargers with the phone. It helps justify the high prices. This is just them trying to get even more money out of their customers.

It seems so ridiculous that Apple failed to account for this issue.  Remember when Apple used to create real innovative products?  Now even LG is charging faster.

It's frustrating because it's not like Apple doesn't have the technology to do it. They just want to charge you even more for that feature, even when many other smartphones offer it as an inclusive feature.

It's a very cool idea but I don't know how much I like the idea of flying in an autonomous transport without someone there to troubleshoot if something goes wrong. Perhaps by then though, I will have more faith in that kind of technology.

I get the appeal of facial recognition technology. It's edgy, it's easy (or should be), etc. I'm sure some people would be able to come up with a lot of positive things to say about it. I'm not one of those people. It just feels like yet another... See more

My car is an older model so I don't have any way to sync up my phone to my car speakers other than using an AUX cord. So, the headphone jack is pretty key for me. I realize that it's becoming less common to have non-wireless speakers/headphones,... See more

The law of supply and demand is what Apple is applying here. I think the manufacturing delay was planned, so that there won't be enough supply for the demand so the price will go up.
Caradoc
That's always a possibility, Lionel. The fact that this phone has generated quite a bit of buzz leads me to believe you're right. It's sad that it has to happen to the budget phone.

I just posted an article about the "budget" phone that's supposed to be released. Those are going to be $699 at the lowest (if the rumors are true). They also mentioned that Apple doesn't seem to care about selling more people cheaper phones;... See more

I almost always have my laptop sitting in my lap. Is that a really bad thing to do? It's sad that their portability is their biggest advantage over a desktop yet being at a desk/table is the best way to use it. It almost makes me wonder if I... See more

This upgrade or facelift is not a surprise to me anymore. This has been the trend for almost all smartphone developers. I think the developers have lost their interest in innovation, and only want us to buy the upgraded version of their... See more

I agree with you. They really are more like facelifts these days; just some upgrades to make an old item feel new by making it look more like other newer items without really adding anything completely new. That being said, I do like the... See more
