Skullcandy upping their game

I used to own Skullcandy earphones over 10 years ago but they broke pretty fast. After that I kind of thought of them as more of a trendy product rather than technically sound. But it seems like I've been sleeping on them? And can we talk about that red color? Wow!

I have heard a lot of reviews of these headphones, despite not owning them before. Either way, almost every such device has a 'noise-cancellation feature'. Is it something you consider when purchasing headphones?

I do look for the noise-cancellation feature, mostly because it helps when traveling or trying to get work done in busy areas.  The reviews look decent on this one by Skullcandy.

I have never owned Skullcandy but I agree they come across as more of a design item rather than good quality, but that is the image I have of them. But I have to say they do look really neat.

I really hope they don't stop developing the Surface. It's my favorite tablet. I've used the iPad, Amazon Fire, Samsung Galaxy, and even a no name brand.  In my opinion, none compared to the Surface.

I love my standalone tablets, but the Surface Pro is my favorite 2-in-1.  I hope these rumors turn out to be true, especially the one about shifting to USB-C as that would be more convenient.

It's been dropped by T-mobile as its sales are declining, at least with them.  That doesn't surprise me since the phone and its creator aren't well-known in many circles.

I like the OnePlus phones, they are somewhat of an underdog that tech lovers are rooting for. The phones are often really modern looking, but I feel like they missed the mark with this one. Not a fan of the design, especially the back.

Traveling During the Upcoming Holidays?

Unfortunately, when I travel, I always bring a ton of stuff because I'm afraid I'll need it. I'm rethinking that strategy after checking out this minimalist collection. It makes sense to choose gear that can do more than one thing, like the suitcase with a built-in portable battery.

Although on the surface, it looks like the Gen4 AIC SSD would be great for gaming, it requires using a computer with specific components to really meet its full potential.  At the moment it's very limited.

Is hiding likes the right thing?

Instagram has been testing out hiding likes and now Facebook is too, but is this smart? To me, it kind of defeats the purpose of "social" media. If you can't see this interactions on other people's profiles, pages and groups, it loses a big social aspect, right?

I love how Facebook figured out that humans could be driven by likes and shares and could become addicted to it.  It was a tool that Facebook exploited.  How odd to see this change. Isn't it too little too late?

That is what I was thinking too. I don't think it will hold up. It is going to take away a lot of the interaction and that will drive people away from liking and sharing content on Facebook.

It truthfully doesn't matter to me either way.  I mostly use Facebook for memes and cute animal pictures.  I think it's a bad brand decision, though since Facebook is known for that specific feature.

I agree with that and I honestly can't see them making this a long-term change.  It's just experimentation.  Facebook wants to pretend to care just to distract from their serious issues.

The future is clearly smart

I find the price to be fair for glasses with all those capabilities. It makes sense to have them as experimental products, but I see these glasses getting popular over time, despite now being 'available by invitation only'.

Did you notice the clock on the Echo Dot?

Google and Amazon will continue battling for smart assistant supremacy. How would you compare the Echo Dot versus Google Home Mini? I hadn't paid much attention to the generic digital clock but now I agree that there is a compromise on the Dot's uniformity.

There is quite a variety to choose from, and this proves how #smarttechnology is taking over the world. As an audiophile, my favorite device is Echo Studio. On the other hand, Echo Flex is very innovative and fair for the pocket.

I preferred the sound of the Sonos smart speaker over the Echo Plus, but it looks like the Echo Studio will rival Sonos and easily come out on top.   Dolby Atmos in a smart speaker  is a game changer.
