I doubt if there is anything on this earth does not have privacy concern. When technology becomes more advanced, information system has basically become borderless. Unfortunately this is a rather difficult issue to tackle.

Thanks for sharing this info! I just went into my settings and opted-out. I'm surprised Amazon has made this move. Their sales don't seem to have suffered, despite any privacy concerns that consumers and watchdogs might have. So why bother?

Well, it's obviously because they care so much about protecting our privacy. I'm being sarcastic of course. My guess is that Amazon was looking for good PR and new most users wouldn't bother to change the settings.

Alexa is already well-trained by now so maybe consumer info isn't as invaluable to Amazon anymore so they figured why not. I think consumers should be more honest about how much they value their privacy. I think most people are willing to... See more
