I was always afraid of flying, until I sat in actual plane. It is thrilling to be up in the sky plus who knew that the odds of a plane crash happening is one for every 1.2 million flights. Either way, I think that the lower cost is the reason why people opt to travel by car.

I believe that flying is much safer than travelling by road but then not everyone can afford to fly all the time. I think people opt for cheaper means of transport based on affordability.

I'm printing this out to share with a co-worker who is terribly afraid of flying. Hopefully it will help ease his anxiety before we fly out for our next work conference.

I've heard that flying is safer than driving before, but I always thought it was a myth. I see I was wrong. I travel a lot for work so that's nice to know.

That's how I felt Ankara. Traveling on an airplane seemed scary at first, but I couldn't remain terrified when looking down at the landscape below us was so thrilling.

It is actually thrilling to be in a plane for the first time because subsequent flights end up feeling normal. I would also presume that travelling by train is also safe, especially for those people that are afraid of flying.
