I wanted to share this with all of you. This is the first time I saw this attachable that transforms the iPad into a 3D scanner. This gadget might help engineers or surveyors with their line of work.

Everyone can make use of this attachable, from students, teachers, archaeologists, doctors, and even artists. The system still needs some improvement and I wish the system will just save the images locally instead of through the cloud.

It is still a new device so we will see a lot more improvements later on. I have a feeling that when this device becomes successful that future smartphones and tablets will have the capability to capture objects in 3D.
