Everything is slowly becoming affordable nowadays and who wouldn't love to go for an option that knocks some amount off the energy bill? After reading this, I am more than willing to go for smart bulbs and smart switches.

I've started replacing a few of my old bulbs here and there with new smart bulbs. I bought the kind that can run on their internal battery when the power goes out.

I have been looking for these bulbs too because they come in handy when there are power cuts. Misinformation plays a part in discouraging consumers from purchasing effective, yet affordable appliances.

That's a very convincing article. I changed the bulbs to the LED ones a few years ago. At the time, it sounded strange, but now it's almost mandatory. I'm going to do further research on this and give it a try. At least it's a useful change, not... See more

I used to imagine that it was very costly to buy these smart lighting appliances, until I shopped around and realized that they were not only affordable, but energy saving too.
