It doesn't make sense that the iPhone 9 (or iPhone XC as being leaked) will be more expensive than iPhone XS. It may be a marketing strategy so that people will buy the XS version, but it is a bad strategy.

We will know about the real price tomorrow at the Apple convention. I don't think Apple will make such a strategy. I think the article has more speculations than facts.

I am still hoping for a iPhone SE replacement with something a little more compact than the XC. Looks very unlikely...

I read many reviews that the XC is the common choice of people because it is a little cheaper than its XS counterparts. We won't see any SE replacement so if we wanted to buy one, then we will just buy the older versions.

As the time is approaching for the release of these new iPhones, everyone has their own opinion or "educated guess" about the matter. I don't think Apple will sell a lower class phone with a higher price than the XS's.

Recent reports have it that the iPhone 9 will be sold at no more than $699. I somewhat agree that everyone always has an opinion before a release and this is normally based on 'leaks'.
