I am always intrigued by these kickstarters. Some are so smart but I came across this and I wonder if this something the world needs? A shirt that has a built-in battery to keep warm, I guess? Why not just layer? Is this something you would back and buy?

In as much as I agree that the common challenge is how to keep warm but not overheat and sweat, I wouldn't go for such a shirt. If the project becomes successful, the cost could probably surpass the $99 being offered to early birds.

It is too risky to put money into a Kickstarter. Projects often fall through and you'll never see your money nor the item you funded.

I bet it would become uncomfortable to wear after a while. Imagine banging the battery portion into stuff accidentally. That said, I don't mind taking a risk on Kickstarter campaigns.

I just checked and they've far surpassed their goal! In the past, raising more money than requested typically lead to disgruntled backers because something would go wrong. I would love to get that shirt if it was available for purchase, but... See more
