Technology is changing the modus operandi of most companies and automation is becoming a common trend across the globe. Shouldn't employees now start thinking of diversification considering that some occupations may become obsolete in the next few years? What ought to be the next move in the event that there are many job cuts in future?

I sure hate to hear about jobs being made redundant and people facing unemployment. According to the article education seems to be the safest field. Unfortunately, it often requires a degree for a job that doesn't pay well.

I think we can somehow enforce that balance if those in power want to do so. The government can make regulations about this before allowing the mass distribution of the robots. The question is, as always, will they?

It's awful that so many disadvantaged states without other industries are going to be hit the hardest. Those are conservative states too. I doubt there will many programs offering a leg up.
