I love the flexibility that a wireless keyboard offers, in terms of portability and being able to use it with a wide range of devices. I would agree that they get obsolete over time (and this can be fixed) but the idea is that it is much easier to use a laptop, without having to rely on its built-in keyboard? Should you or should you not purchase a Bluetooth keyboard?

That's an interesting article which makes me want to get a mechanical keyboard. But one question first: is Apple magic wireless keyboard considered a mechanical keyboard?

It isn't a true mechanical keyboard and mostly just added alphanumeric keys, but who knows what the future holds. It would be fantastic if they did change things, but Apple loves the sleek design aesthetic.

The reason I use a wireless keyboard is that I want to spare my laptop keyboard. Once my wireless one is broken, it is easily replaced. Not so easy with my laptop's keyboard.
