I find the last point very interesting. Isn't it a risky step to take? There may be others with the same name as myself, so we can't simply wipe out all content related to that.

That's definitely true and unfortunately, some people still click away without giving it a second thought. We had a problem at work where some malware spread due to one thoughtless click.

I always find it interesting when security articles recommend using a password manager. It's as though they've forgotten that those password managers have also been hacked or leaked data in the past including LastPass.

That is correct. The only safe security is what we do when we are online. There are some people, like my mother, who doesn't know how to log out their accounts so they are vulnerable to be hacked by other people.
