If antennas will require added energy to run 5G, what about the end users? Will the cell phones need extra power to run the 5G network? With the exploding phones and power banks, I wonder if 5G will create more scenarios like that.

The concerns about the energy consumption are valid but I like the fact that there is a possibility of base stations in 5G being put in "sleep mode", whenever there will be no active users. This currently doesn't happen with the 4G networks.

If that is that case, then we don't have to worry about it then. I'm wondering about the health concerns of some people regarding 5G. Do you think they are just scared about the high frequency that 5G will emit?
