Epic Games did not respond when asked to comment and any other company would probably do the same thing. Fornite is free to play but I would attribute its bold strategy to this immense success.

Wow, I'm surprised that Fortnite pulled in that much money for Epic Games! It looks like they made a good bet on the fremium model being the wave of the future.

I agree as well and this illustrates the importance of tying a strategy to future trends. Just like Sharkbait says, it is time for other companies to be on the spotlight.
