Verizon, in the invitation to the open house, would have asked for the views of the residents regarding the installation of the wireless antennas, rather than reach this decision without consulting. It would have made more sense to rely on the existing cellular towers.

I don't understand why this neighborhood is fighting progress. If the antennas will be placed on their roofs, then I will join them in their fight.

Well, we should all embrace progress because nothing can ever stand in the way of an idea whose time has come; I would also fight the idea of having antennas all over the place, around the neighborhood.
