Most (if not all) of us, value some degree of privacy especially at a time when sharing personal information is greatly discouraged. In such cases, I would avoid going for the free options because in most cases, they are limited in scope. Is this a good idea in the long run?

I've used Burner before and the service is good, but its costly because the virtual numbers are "burned" within a fairly short period unless you pay more.

It's a good service, but I don't see the need for it myself. I'm not very guarded with my phone number. It's good that there are so many options for people who may need it.

This makes the two of us and this may be very practical for those people who those who closely guard their phone numbers. Cost (as well) is quite an issue when it comes to some of these apps.
