Instagram has been testing out hiding likes and now Facebook is too, but is this smart? To me, it kind of defeats the purpose of "social" media. If you can't see this interactions on other people's profiles, pages and groups, it loses a big social aspect, right?

We are well beyond answering Alan Turing's question, "can machines think?" There is now good reason to ask how we should think of AI, and what we should expect from it.
