I'll enjoy using  the Sender Block email option. That should've been applied years ago as spam has gotten outrageous.  I haven't upgraded yet because I've been so busy at work.
DevonJMarsh
There are some buyers who will look at it as an investment.  With that much RAM they're unlikely to need another upgrade for a long while.  Sometimes paying a little more at the start can save you money in the long run.
Elijah
From that list, my only sin is not physically cleaning my desktop and laptop often enough.  Cat hair tends to get in the fans and I should clean them out more often.
DevonJMarsh
I'm not the best about backing up my computer in a timely manner.  I feel you on the cat hair.  I don't even know how it gets inside the fans in the first place.
Octane
My only hesitation (and it's a small one) is that I've never owned anything from this company before.  It's a good price for a gaming laptop, but it's still a significant sum to gamble.
DevonJMarsh
@Octane, you'd probably be fine if you buy one of their desktops or laptops.  They're not overpriced and have decent specs.  Where I think most people have trouble is when they buy bits and  pieces from MSI and try to build their own customized... See more

It's a cool phone and they have definitely made upgrades to their previous model, but the phone will only appeal to a small subset of people.
VeryPunny
I wouldn't dismiss something because it lacked Wi-Fi 6 support, but I think most consumers want the latest technology because it's supposed to be better.  Maybe they think it will last longer or something.
DevonJMarsh
I don't understand how anyone could think it would last longer when products are built to break now  and no piece of technology is ever future proof.
Phoenix
I'm all about PUBG at the moment.  That was a long article, but I appreciate the author's attempt to explain the issue in plain language.
DevonJMarsh
It felt a little preachy at times, but I do appreciate the simple explanations and the subject is clearly something the author is passionate about.
DevonJMarsh
I think Google's method of blocking spam calls is much better.  I was surprised by the release of Apple Arcade.  It seems like Apple was rushing into the fray without having enough exclusive games lined up.
Elijah
Apple Arcade will have some stiff competition for sure.  It'll be interesting to see which gaming subs are around in a few years and which ones have failed.
DevonJMarsh
Yeah, someone is bound to fold because there are so many gaming subscriptions out there right now.  I don't see how any of the developers can make money when these companies are charging so little.
ItsFidgety
The Urbanears headphones look really nice. I just don't like nor do I understand why they don't have any volume controls? I also really like the 1MORE earphones, those look nice and expensive.
DevonJMarsh
Maybe it's just me, but even when the volume controls are on the headset, I still use the device itself to make adjustments.  I guess it's just habit.
DevonJMarsh
That's why I'm leery of adding facial recognition and fingerprint scanners to airports.  If there's anything we've learned from the past, it's that corporations are not careful with our data and they aren't quick to notify us when something goes... See more

I have fully embraced e-books and actually prefer to read them than physical books now.  It's just so convenient.  I often read from my Kindle Fire and from my iPad.
DevonJMarsh
Yeah, I don't see that becoming a big hit, but who knows?  Puma does have its loyal fans and it performs the same functions as many other trackers.
DevonJMarsh
I have some of these items already, but I never thought to add a GPS locator to my bug out bag. That's a great idea!
DevonJMarsh
I think that will matter a lot to a good many gamers.  I know some critics are upset because  the latest version can't be played on a television too, but I think it will sell like hotcakes.
DevonJMarsh
I love the latest Apple Watch.  I had gotten pudgy and had to start exercising.  The Apple Watch helped make that happen because I didn't want to lose out on my investment.  I use it for many things now.
DevonJMarsh
Nice finds!  I've noticed the recent price bump in tech geared towards artists as well.  I wonder if it's due to the demands of a better graphics chip.
DevonJMarsh
It is so miserably hot where I live!  I could really go for one of those personal fans or air conditioners featured in this collection for my office at work.
DevonJMarsh
I've noticed that's especially true when it comes to televisions.  It's a trade-off between convenience and privacy and for me, convenience usually wins out.
DevonJMarsh
I'm not much of a singer but it sure looks like a great way to make things more fun.  Just imagine the years of blackmail you could get out of videoing a sibling belting out show tunes while on the road.
DevonJMarsh
I've never tried enriching my digital music through a DAC.  Does anyone know how well it works?  Does it make a noticeable difference that justifies the price?
DevonJMarsh
I like the battery life here.  However, the last set I owned by Logitech didn't last long before it shorted out.  It was probably my own fault, but they did seem more delicate than other brands.
DevonJMarsh
I like the Amazon Echo because Alexa is compatible with the most devices and it's priced well.  I'm not too worried about Amazon making them obsolete either, since they are popular.
DevonJMarsh
This is the first time I've checked them out so thanks for bringing the site to my attention.  I like how they include different price points so there are options for most any budget.

It's good for Apple to face some competition with their facial recognition capabilities.  I know some privacy advocates are worried about facial recognition and I'm not sure what to think.  The technology is here and it seems unstoppable.
DevonJMarsh
I hope this is true, but I think Apple will lose a lot of revenue if they tighten up their data collection and privacy rules that apps must follow.
DevonJMarsh
I still prefer to download and own digital media.  Streaming has its place, but I like having movies I can watch even when there's no internet  connection.  It's just easier for travel.
DevonJMarsh
I'm surprised phone companies are co-opting "bendable" to describe their devices when the same term was used to decry the bendable iPhones. I know these new phones aren't made the same, but I figured the negative connotation would stick.

Easy access to fitness via the internet is supposed to make it easier for us to stay fit, but I've never felt so lazy.  I guess infatuated fans might go for it though.
DevonJMarsh
I've started replacing a few of my old bulbs here and there with new smart bulbs.   I bought the kind that can run on their internal battery when the power goes out.
DevonJMarsh
Is it just me or does it seem like Facebook is copying some of Buzzfeed's tactics? Maybe Facebook's creative team has run out of ideas.
DevonJMarsh
I don't think they'll really get fined or it would have already happened.  Facebook is no different than Alphabet and Microsoft.  They'd have to fine them all.
DevonJMarsh
It looks nice!  I bet it's easier to get work done on such a tidy desk.  Mine is always a bit of a disaster.
DevonJMarsh
Thanks for sharing these freebies!  I'm a fan of audiobooks and Apple just doesn't seem to offer many freebies or steep discounts as often as Amazon does.
DevonJMarsh
I've heard of AR, VR, and MR but never XR.  The article's point that different people in the field disagree as to what XR actually is made for an interesting read.
DevonJMarsh
I've played around with this model of camera and I thought there was plenty of room for the controls.  The photos turned out great too.
DevonJMarsh
That would work great for feeding outside cats.  The possums, birds, and other creatures wouldn't be able to snatch the kibble.  It would keep the area cleaner too.
DevonJMarsh
Yes, it's annoying that tech companies just copy one another instead of creating something new and different.  I think some developers just ride on the reputation of the bigger brand.
DevonJMarsh
I should have paid more attention to the return policies. Best Buy charged a restocking fee on the drone I had to return because it was a duplicate gift.  I wish I had read this report before shopping.
GamerGlitter
Maybe it's just me, but it sure doesn't feel like batteries are lasting longer.  Does anyone else feel this way?  Maybe 15% is a hard number to notice.
DevonJMarsh
I honestly haven't noticed a difference either way.  However, I'm using an older iPhone and the battery was supposed to have issues after the update.
DevonJMarsh
I'm beginning to wonder what  my devotion to Apple products is costing me in terms of money and experiences.  My friend has a Pixel phone and the camera is amazing.  VR goggles work great with it too.
DevonJMarsh
My only problems with Windows 10 is the lack of privacy and the fact that the updates tend to make the computers unusable for a lot of folks.

That's just the coolest thing and so handy for those who work late or want to feed their pet breakfast, but still sleep a bit later on the weekends.

Bella is my cat and she wakes me up at 6:00 a.m. every morning.  I'd love to try something like this, but I'm sure it would scare her and she'd refuse to get near it.
DevonJMarsh
I have an Echo and I still use the news function sometimes, but at times it's really garbled and hard to comprehend.  It seems to work better with quick news points rather than long bits of information.
DevonJMarsh
It seems like all the big companies are struggling with battery problems right now.  There's always going to be a trade-off, but consumers don't want to hear that.  It's not good for PR that's for sure.
DevonJMarsh
I could see this working for someone who needs regular rides to the store and to appointments.  It's tough to wrangle groceries on a bus and scheduling appointments around public transportation isn't easy.
DevonJMarsh
I don't believe desktops will ever completely disappear.  They're a favorite of gamers and artists alike due to their large screens and computing power.

Adobe Photoshop isn't the easiest program to master considering that it is used by professionals and newbies, in almost equal measure. I cannot wait to have a feel of it once it is launched sometime next year.
DevonJMarsh
Not only is it difficult to use, but you have additional monies for special affect brushes and other items.  Plus, you need to pay to get the latest version each time.
