My parents have the Google Home smart speaker and I'm not a fan.  In order to get it to work, you must say the proper phrase and it's very precise.  The AI technology is worlds apart. Google Assistant isn't as intuitive as Amazon Alexa.

Charging stations cannot transfer malware, as far as I know, because they only transfer electrical power to our gadget and not data. It can be possible to get malware if there is a hidden device in the charging stations, but I doubt it.
