I think both the Pixel and iPhone are starting to resemble each other too much.  Same thing goes for Samsung's models.  The article raises a good point, but at the end of the day, most smartphones are eerily similar.
Elijah
I think it's baffling that Google essentially just updated their hardware and software instead of adding a new device to their lineup. I don't think that's a good strategy.
Elijah
The reviews seem really favorable right now, but I know it's a limited spread of gamers and tech gurus who have tested it. Still, it gives me hope.

Apple and Disney will be nipping at their heels in no time, especially since Netflix is priced higher and is losing content left and right.
Elijah commented on Do you use a VPN?
JustBeFrank
I do like using VPN for watching movies and download certain applications but I feel like it is becoming more and more difficult to find them. I used Nord VPN for the longest time but wouldn't recommend.
Elijah
There isn't a specific VPN that works because they eventually catch it and boot the VPN.  I usually have to keep switching  it up in that case.

I care much more about having a speedy processing chip and modern camera than I do about the color.  There are countless skins available to change the look of a phone.
Elijah
I regularly install beta updates that seem interesting.  It's easy to roll back the update (and the machine if necessary) so why not check out those cool features?
Elijah
I find it baffling really.  Sometimes it looks like Mark Zuckerberg doesn't have a friend in the world, even though the companies that are taking issue with Facebook have similar problems.
Elijah
I've actually never heard that one.  I do charge mine through the night because that's when it's most convenient.  I'm glad it's okay to do so.
Elijah
It's nice to know what your computer can do, but I just find it easier to use click around the traditional windows explorer interface until I find what I need.  I feel the same way on my Mac.
DarrenJax
The short battery life is a huge stumbling block for me. It would make work and travel more difficult since I'd have to worry about having power.  That's too bad as it looks like a nice laptop.
Elijah
Sure the battery life isn't spectacular, but it isn't that bad either.  Besides that, power banks are cheap and easy to cart around.  I think it's worth putting up with the battery for a dual-screen laptop.

Flash drives are handy, portable devices, but they can be easily misplaced. I always have two of these at a go, and I avoid carrying them in my pocket. These small devices will stay around for a while.
Elijah
That's me.  I lose mine all the time.  Because they're so small, they're easily misplaced and forgotten about.  That's why I keep several of them around and back them up to another drive.

I love the magnetic wraparound keyboard!  It makes this device super flexible and was a brilliant idea.  I'm interested in getting one of these when they finally come out.
Elijah
That's what draws me to it too. That's much easier than using a virtual keyboard on the screen.  I just wish it would come to market earlier.
Elijah
That was an interesting article; I had no idea that IE was that much of an issue.  I use Safari, probably for the same reasons people use the browser that came on their Windows computer.
Elijah
Talk about an upgrade, that's pretty huge.  I'm glad they're working on ways to let us tether it a PC as well and it sounds like it will be super easy to do.

Apple's Series 4 smart watch felt like a major upgrade from previous models.  Sadly, the Series 5 is basically just a firmware update.   I appreciate the option to have an always-on watch face, but I expected more.
Elijah
The latest Apple Watch added many new features including some that are geared towards women's health.  It can also make emergency phone calls for you in other countries, which is great for those who travel a lot for work or pleasure.

I'll make use of the free promo and I'm looking forward to seeing what they've got.  I'm particularly interested in their new sci-fi series, For All Mankind.

Apple Arcade will have some stiff competition for sure.  It'll be interesting to see which gaming subs are around in a few years and which ones have failed.

The Urbanears headphones look really nice. I just don't like nor do I understand why they don't have any volume controls? I also really like the 1MORE earphones, those look nice and expensive.
Elijah
I've noticed many wired headphones are that way, regardless of brand.  Maybe the manufacturers figure it's just as easy to adjust the volume through the device as it is through the headphones.

I use an older model that still has the jack, so I may not understand the experience of a person owning a phone without a wireless jack. Either way, I think we will all (somehow) get used to the changes.

It really isn't that different of an experience.  Wireless earbuds have come a long way and the AirPods and Powerbeats Pro sound fantastic.  I just like having the option of using a headphone jack too.

Lately, I think camera companies have started acting like smartphone companies.  They're all just in a rush to push out something "new" instead of creating something unique.

I agree with you on that.  What's odd about this updated version is that it doesn't seem like Nikon added any cool features.  There's just nothing special here.

Samsung rushed to try and be an early adopter and it bit them in the behind. Even if they bounce back (which I'm sure they will), their reputation will still be tarnished.

They just gave us a new model a few months ago and now they're hyping a new one that still isn't much different than what they already produce.   I'm a dedicated Apple fan, but they really need to step back and work on their innovation.

I'm loving the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, long battery life, and awesome camera.  Best yet is that it works with the Apple Pencil.  This latest version adds enough features that it's worth making the upgrade.

Yeah, I have to agree that it's worth buying especially since this is the first update the mini has seen for some time.  This one runs much faster!
Elijah
I wouldn't pay that much because technology rapidly changes today.  Why pay so much when a newer, better model with more features will be coming down the pipeline in a year or so?  I'd wait and buy the older model at a better price.

I've used Burner before and the service is good, but its costly because the virtual numbers are "burned" within a fairly short period unless you pay more.

Wireless earphones are now the choice for most people though I have never been a huge fan for these. Could we say that these buds are an alternative for the AirPods?
