Some of the older devices aren't compatible with sidecar which is a shame as it's incredibly useful.  I will use the mirroring capabilities often for work.

My only hesitation (and it's a small one) is that I've never owned anything from this company before.  It's a good price for a gaming laptop, but it's still a significant sum to gamble.

The article made a huge point - what worries business owners is that the web applications require an internet connection.  Few would risk the possibility of crippling their day-to-day operations with something like that.
Octane
That's true but most places will have a hard time once the internet goes down anyway, as inventory and cash registers are often connected to the parent company via internet.  I'd assume they have alternatives in place.
Octane
I think being first really gives them a big advantage.  People are resistant to change so they're more likely to stick with what they know.  They'll stay on top for a long time.
Octane
It could be a big problem if you're cheating and your other half decides to snoop through your Pixel phone.  Imagine being a hard sleeper and waking up to a furious person who took advantage of the bug.

I'm in Apple's corner as well.  Apple's laptops may cost more, but they last for a long time, which makes the price differential fairly negligible in my opinion. The Microsoft Surface laptops aren't terrible, but I prefer the Mac.
Octane
These are significant updates to their product line.  Not having to use a mic all the time is a big plus.  Doubling their max frame rate is also huge.
Octane
Nice write-up!  I guess it makes sense that adding an extra screen causes the battery to drain more quickly.  Asus should've accounted for that and added one with a higher capacity.
Octane
To  me, a bigger screen is great for watching movies and reading e-books so I'm all for it.  Plus the price is nice for an Apple device.

It would be disastrous for the company to go ahead with the launch with such concerns making the headlines. My only hope is that when the time comes, the Galaxy Fold will easily fit into any pocket.
Octane
You know, I really miss having a cell phone that's compact enough to fit in my pockets.  It would be fantastic if Samsung pulled something like that off.

I like that update personally, though I don't think it's enough to make me buy a new one.  I wonder if the always-on design will drain the battery more quickly.

Those two laptops are a bit pricey for what they are, especially the 15-inch model which has a terrible battery capacity.  I can't go for the off-center keyboard either, though it's not uncommon.

It's just a refresh of their Fire 7 tablet line.  I wish Amazon had chosen to make something new and exciting.  I still miss the Mayday support feature.

I'm not impressed, mainly because it's more like a tablet than a laptop in function.  I need a keyboard to work quickly and I don't mean one of those virtual keyboards either.  Laptops fold anyway and they're easy to store and carry.

I've gotten into the habit of just buying the latest iPhone instead of checking out the competition to see what else is out there.  The OnePlus 7 Pro phone is great and that's a significant savings on price.

A ridiculous price indeed. I prefer Samsung's Fold design and concept, but the big screen Huawei offers will probably appeal to tablet users. Regardless of the controversies, I think we still have to commend Huawei's innovation and effort.

I'm surprised that foldable phones are drawing so much press attention.  However, I agree that Huawei should be commended.  They've pushed other brands to be more creative.

Remember when the FCC chairman claimed that the big telecom companies would invest more in the infrastructure if we got rid of the regulations.  It troubles me that the benefit so obviously didn't happen.  All it did was harm consumers.

Yeah, this isn't meant to benefit users at all.  I guess Google needs extra funds to cover that big fine that was recently levied.  I'll switch browsers if third-party adblockers fail.

It's getting to be overkill and I wonder whether hyping the next big thing is a poor strategic decision.  Why buy the current model when I know something bigger and better is in the works and will be coming out soon?

A problematic keyboard design can easily be worked around by remapping some of its keys.  It looks like Asus has really stepped up their game and listened to customer feedback when designing this latest model.
